September 11, 2020 stands as the 19th Anniversary of the “Attack on America.” On that fateful day in 2001, Woodbridge Township First Responders – Woodbridge Police Department (WPD), Woodbridge Township Fire Department personnel, First Aid Squad and EMT’s, the Office of Emergency Management (OEM), Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and other emergency personnel – without hesitation or concern for personal safety, dispatched to emergency operation locations. The Office of the Mayor, the Municipal Council and the Woodbridge Township Interfaith Clergy Council will host: “A Township Remembers: An Interfaith Memorial Service & Salute to the First Responder Community” on Tuesday, September 11, 2020. This year, the 9/11 Remembrance Service will offer a special “Salute of Support” to our First Response Community – Woodbridge Township Police Department, Woodbridge Township Fire Departments and Firefighters, First Aid Squad and EMT’s and Emergency Management and CERT personnel. You are invited to attend the service which will be held at the Township Event Stage located behind Woodbridge High School (Samuel Lupo Place.) at 6:00 PM.
